There once was a fellow who lived two miles from the middle of nowhere and enjoyed a life of relative ease and comfort. The perfect candidate to be pulled out of his normal world into the perilous adventures of blogging.
He embraced the challenge, devoting time and energy to his fledgling corner of the internet.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t Superman. The demands of life piled up like snow in a Colorado spring blizzard.
Time to spend on his blog was slowly chiseled away until he felt like Sam and Frodo on their quest, barely scraping by.
He came to a realization. Too much to do, not enough mental capacity. The hard question became, which of his pursuits would suffer?
The blog seemed the likely candidate, but he was loathe to let it sink into the pit of oblivion, cherished for a time but gradually forgotten amid the whirlwind of life.
After some consideration, he settled on the best course of action.
New Blogging Schedule
In case it’s not clear by now, this is a true story and the fellow is yours truly.
What’s the point of all this?
I don’t have as much time to spend thinking up and writing blog posts as I did. Fear not, faithful reader. I shall not abandon my beloved blog. I’m simply cutting back.
Since I started, my regular schedule was Monday, Wednesday, Friday, with some Saturdays thrown in.
Each day had a general theme, with Fantasy Friday being the most consistent. For the foreseeable future, things will look different.
Here’s the new schedule:
- Monday
- Thursday
My topics and content won’t change from what you’re used to, but I’m not going to assign certain types of posts to certain days. If, by some miracle, I have an overabundance of posts, I might add an extra one in during the week. That’s the exception, not the rule.
When is this shift taking place? Starting next week, which happens to also be the continuation of my series DC vs. Marvel, leading up to the release of Captain America: Civil War next Friday (CAN’T WAIT!!!!). 😀
I’ll be dealing with settings on Monday and storylines on Thursday, so keep an eye out for those posts.
Changes are in the air, but in a good way.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my blog. I truly appreciate it and hope to continue providing entertainment and geeky fun.
Special alert concluded. You may now return to your regularly scheduled day. 😉

I completely understand! Glad you’re pushing through though!
Thanks, Jennette. 🙂
Yeah, the story you tell is all too familiar! I’m glad you’re finding a schedule that is more workable for you. I admit I’ve been thinking, “Woah, this dude has limitless energy! Where does it all come from?”
Like you, I started my blog with Mon-Wed-Fri and after a few years of experimenting, I’ve found the sweet spot: Fridays, with a random Tuesday thrown in there if I feel like it.
You might check out what Derek Halpern says on blogging frequency too. He said that, if your content is really great, nobody complains much about fewer posts. So far, it’s proven true for me. Given that you consistently produce content that *I* enjoy, I can’t really fault you for wanting a little breathing space to keep coming up with awesome posts!
Can’t wait to see what you write in honor of Captain America: Civil War. I am SO PSYCHED about that movie!
Ah yes, the trials of blogging. Limitless energy…I WISH! LOL
Glad you found a schedule that works for you. Thanks for the frequency insight. I’ll remember that. I mainly wanted to go hard at the beginning because it would take less time to build a following. Now I’m transitioning to survival mode. 😉
Wow. I’m honored that you think so highly of my posts. Hearing people say that makes the effort worthwhile, so I truly appreciate it. 🙂
9 days. 9 Days! 9 DAYS!! #teamcap
Good for you, Zac! I applaud you! 🙂
Thanks, Lexi. 🙂
