A question we’re thoroughly acquainted with hearing and asking this time of year.
In today’s The 12 Days of Christmas post, time to let fantasy and sci-fi characters in on the fun. We take to the highways and byways of Fandomland and find out what fantasy and sci-fi characters want for Christmas.
Christmas Wishes
Tony Stark: Honestly? I don’t want anything except Pepper. A new mansion in Malibu, all the new tech I could handle, endorsements, free massages, a billboard on the Empire State Building with my name in flashing green and red. None of that compares to having Pepper back in my life.
Though I would really appreciate a free massage right now.
Katniss: For Peeta to keep loving me.
The Doctor: To continue my travels through space and time, and to save people from the dangers of the galaxies.
Lucy Pevensie: To know and love Aslan better.
Captain America: I could really use a new shield.
Barry Allen: I don’t care. As long as it’s from Iris, I’ll love it.
Loki: I know exactly what I want for Christmas. But I’m not going to tell you until it’s too late for you to do anything.
River Song: I’d tell you, but…spoilers.
Kylo Ren: A new lightsaber and a new ego and more black capes…and a pacifier.
Pippin: A free day at the best all-you-can-eat-and-drink buffet and bar the land can offer.
Snape: A sense of humor, perhaps? No, of course not. A textbook of potion recipes and a book of history chronicling the glorious past of Slytherin House.
Peter Quill: I wanna have a dance off with another badass villain. That was so awesome. Then I’d grab a drink and get back to saving the galaxy. Yep, Star Lord’s just that cool.
Bruce Wayne: A new Lamborghini.
Samwise: To be honest, I have everything I need. A lovely hobbit hole, a loving wife and sweet children. My own garden. My life’s as full as it could be. But I suppose, if I had to pick something, I’d want to see Mr. Frodo again.
Gandalf: A beard care and maintenance kit.
Jean Luc Picard: A year’s supply of Earl Grey.
Rocket: Bombs and guns and fiery things.
Effie: Ooohhh, let’s see. Lipstick, at least ten new outfits, hair curlers, mascara, makeup, lace gloves, and a minimum of six pairs of shoes.
Hermione: BOOKS!
Elend Venture: I wish all my problems would disappear and that our land could for once enjoy peace, prosperity, and freedom.
Dr. McCoy: For once, I’d like to hear Spock say something illogical. Nothing would make me happier.
Black Widow: A new handgun.
The Joker: I want the Batman. I want to torture him with reminders that he can’t save his city, that he’s too weak, that Gotham isn’t worth saving. I also want people to smile more.
Captain Kirk: I want…all my fight…scenes…remade to look cool…and…not melodramatic.
Peeta: I have Katniss. She’s all I need.
Random redshirt: I would really like to stay alive, if that’s at all possible.
Random Stormtrooper: A target. That doesn’t move.
Kaladin: The loyalty of my bridge crew, Syl’s company, and the power to change the evils around me. If I had that, I would be content.
Darth Vader: A mask with a “silent” setting.
Bilbo Baggins: A pocket handkerchief, a new set of silverware, a vest, a new pipe, a pack of Old Toby, and a handful of dear friends to celebrate with.
Sauron: My empire is my deepest and only desire.
Bruce Banner: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL-size shirts. In case of emergencies.
Westley: Buttercup and a cozy home are all I ask for.
Gollum: Fishess, precious. All the fishesss.
Spock: A Christmas tree with logical ornament placement.
Ron Weasley: Candy, my own room, my own wand, my own schoolbooks, and definitely NOT an ugly sweater.
Puddleglum: I’d like a pile of good wood for fires and a new flint—which is probably too much trouble. Not that anyone cares anyway. I expect I’ll get rain or lumps of instead.
Baby Groot: I am Groot! (Translation: All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…)
